What’s been happening:

Fred served in USA 1942-45 in the European Theater, Battle of the Bulge. Obtained BSME from Penn State in 1949. Fred joined York-Shipley, Inc. in 1947 as an engineering trainee and progressed through various engineering positions. He was appointed Vice-President Engineering in 1969. His achievements included development of a small residential size boiler that was utilized in many housing projects during the early 1950s. The basic design was used in 50,000 plus housing units throughout the country. As Chief Design Engineer, Warm Air Products, he was responsible for design of heat exchanger surface adaptations. He also was involved in original research and development with the USA Natick Research & Development Command resulting in a water heater that was in field use by all of the military services of the US Government. He's a Professional Engineer registered in PA & Ontario. Member of NSPE, PSPE, ASME, ASGE & the Combustion Institute. He served in many capacities at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in York and on many York City Committees. Since retiring in 1988 he has enjoyed traveling abroad as well as visiting all 50 United States. Fred and Norma have two daughters, Stephanie Woolfenden of York & Dr. Karen Wood of Madison, WI and five grandchildren. He is the son of Clay & Esther Snyder. Clay, Fred and Karen all PS graduates, 30 years apart.
